Interviews and Quarantine

Hey, friends!
I just came to my room after 5 days of quarantine, and it feels so liberating. Nasal swabs are probably the worst thing that can happen to a child. Anyway, I’m glad that it’s over. I have a few exciting things that I wanna share with you guys.
But before saying anything else, let me just talk about the two interviews that I mentioned in last week’s issue. The first one was an interview for admission into IIM Ahmedabad’s PGP program. The AWT (analytical writing test) and the Personal Interview took place in a big-ass mall in Gurugram, Haryana.
I will write a detailed essay on the entire experience as soon as the results come out. So, stay tuned for that. The next interview was for a scholarship program that helps tribal students with their expenses for studying abroad. This interview was a concise one. My guess is that it could not have been more than five minutes.
I went in, told them my name, college, etc., and cheekily mentioned that I have an admission offer from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. After that, they asked me to show them the offer letter, which I did. And that was that. Overall, I would say it was a productive week.
I was very much bored while quarantined, so I thought it’s a good idea to start posting YouTube videos. I’m not sure how long I’ll continue doing it or if I’ll do it, but the first video is linked below. Please watch it till the end hit like and subscribe too.
I hope you have a great weekend. Please put on masks when in public. Maintain Social distancing, and take care of your loved ones.

An Introduction
An Introduction
I’m currently reading Moment of Lift by Melinda Gates and Master of the Game by Sidney Sheldon. I have many books that I’m reading simultaneously. You can find all of them here.
I’ve finished reading Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being trash, 10 being life-changing), I would give the book an 11. It is that good. I’ve made the highlights of the book public. You can find them here.
I also finally managed to write a book note on How to Avoid A Climate Disaster by Bill Gates. You can find the book note here. You can find other book notes here.
Something inside a man goes to pieces when he has to bury the only person who ever understood him. There is no time to heal that sort of wound. - A Man Called Ove.
Read my book note on “A Man Called Ove” here.
The pleasures that arise from sense-objects are bound to end, and thus they are only sources of pain. Don’t get attached to them. And: When a man reaches a state where honor and dishonor are alike to him, then he is considered supreme. Strive to gain such a state. - The Palace of Illusions
