Hi!
I hope you are well. I’m definitely not that well. I’ll tell you why, in a second. But yeah, I really hope that you are well.
I got bitten by a dog two days ago, and am now required to take five doses of Rabies vaccine, which is unfortunate, to say the least. In addition, there is this seasonal flu season that’s going on campus. Living on the IIMA campus really does feel like trying to survive in a jungle now.
I was at the hospital, down with a dengue fever just a few weeks ago, and then the dog bites. At this moment, I’m questioning every life decision that I made. But, hopefully, everything would be worth it in the end.
A few good things happened as well. We had “T-Nite” - an inter-section cultural and literary competition, in which we came third. Of course, we felt we deserved to win, but thanks to a few factors, we did not win. I’ll save that rant for another day.
Either way, I’m happy that this person I have a huge crush on won if that counts. So yeah, apart from falling sick every other week or getting bitten by dogs, my time at IIM Ahmedabad is going pretty well.
That’s pretty much it for this week. Take care, wish me luck, I’m getting another Rabies vaccine dose tomorrow morning.

Books
I am reading Poor Economics by Abhijit V. Banerjee & Esther Duflo. It has proved very insightful so far.
I am also reading The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien just to distract myself from rigorous subjects and topics. It’s been a fun read so far, I’m about 54% done.
However, I’ve been procrastinating a lot lately, and so have not been making much progress on the reading, but I should be done in another week (hopefully!).
Quotes
What a terrible feeling to love someone and not be able to help them. Actually, I know exactly how that feels. - Jennifer Niven, All the Bright Places.
To live happier, more fulfilling lives, when we encounter a difficult circumstance, we must keep shifting our perspective and continually ask ourselves, “Is there a wiser, more enlightened way of looking at this seemingly negative situation?” - Robin Sharma
